IN HONOR OF THE RECENT CANNES FILM FESTIVAL, WE TRAVEL BACK IN TIME TO SOME OF THE BEST MOMENTS IN RED CARPET HISTORY

Cannes, 1967

Cannes red carpet culture is one of the richest, there is always a sense of relaxation and fun in the air, the beach and the sandy light colors against a blue sky backdrop make for a fresh atmosphere and gives a sense of vacation adventure to the whole event.

You can imagine Grace Kelly arriving elegantly in her headscarf and sunglasses,  orJane Birkin dancing in jeans and vaporous blouses. Here are some of the best moments in Cannes history. 

Vanessa Redgrave, 1967

This two-piece became one of the most  iconic Cannes  fashion moments after Vanessa Redgrave's amazing appearence. 

Simone Silva and Robert Mitchum, 1954

Egypt-born french actress Simone Silva shall always be remembered for her penchant for scandal, specially this topless photo that got her expelled from the festival.

Who could forget this wonderful tiara moment?
